Hohe Wand Skywalk Viewing Terrace
Over 20 years of the Hohe Wand Skywalk
Since opening in 2002, the Skywalk has been thrilling visitors as one of the first viewing platforms of its kind. Built directly into the rock face, the structure gives the sensation of floating freely above the abyss. Only a sturdy iron grille separates the brave from the depths – and rewards them with a spectacular view both outwards and downwards.
On clear days, paragliders glide along the cliff edge and over the Skywalk. Anyone wishing to experience this sensation for themselves can book a tandem flight with the Hohe Wand Flying School and discover the region from a bird’s-eye view.
Take a seat and enjoy the panorama
To mark the 50th anniversary of the Hohe Wand Nature Park, the Skywalk Cinema was added in 2019. Here, the landscape becomes a screen: on a clear day, the view stretches from the ‘New World’ via Wiener Neustadt to Lake Neusiedl and the Hungarian Plain, Rosalia, Bucklige Welt and Wechsel.
Sit back, let the vastness wash over you – and enjoy moments that will stay with you forever.
