The programmes at the Hohe Wand Nature Park help to convey lesson content in a practical, age-appropriate and sustainable way. Experiencing nature, physical activity and knowledge transfer are meaningfully combined.

1. Experiencing the forest – Understanding the forest
ecosystem On this forest education tour, children discover the forest habitat using all their senses. Together, we explore plants, animals and ecological relationships, and discuss the importance of an intact natural environment. The aim of this
tour is to foster an understanding of ecological cycles, raise awareness of biodiversity and encourage mindful observation of nature

Duration: approx. 3 hours
Price: €8 per child (including admission)

2. “Wild Feeding” – Wild animals and their habitats
Together with the nature park rangers, we observe native wild animals such as deer, ibex and mouflon. The children learn, for example, the differences between antlers and horns, what the animals eat, how they communicate with one another, and gain insights into their habitats, behaviour and adaptation strategies.

Taking part in this guided tour offers a direct experience of nature and creates lasting learning moments. It also fosters knowledge of native wildlife and teaches respectful interaction with animals.

3. Llama & Alpaca Walk – Experiencing nature responsibly
On a guided walk with llamas and alpacas, children experience nature, exercise and encounters with animals in a relaxed atmosphere. The animals are led carefully on a lead. The aim of this animal-led tour

is to strengthen social skills, encourage responsibility and promote mindfulness and self-confidence.

Duration: 1–2 hours
Price: €8 per child (including admission)
