Description
At the Waldeggerhaus (1,002m) on the Hohe Wand, tradition is written in capital letters, as Wuffi and Susi are the fourth generation of the Apfler family to run the mountain inn. The cuisine is also traditional: home-style cooking based around Wiener Schnitzel and roast pork with bread dumplings. Accessible by car, the house in wooded surroundings offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Schneeberg and Ötscher, including fantastic sunsets. The house is a comfortable 1.5-2 hour walk from Waldegg train station.
Opening hours: all year round, closed on Thursday and Friday
