Hubertushaus

Those who climb up to the cozy hut are not only amazed by the magnificent view (on a nice day you can see as far as Lake Neusiedl), but also by the excellent cuisine: Kaspressknödel (cheese dumplings) and Spinatnockerl (spinach dumplings) are the favorites of seasoned Hubertushaus guests.

How to get to the Hubertushaus

If you want to show your children how small the world looks from above, you can hike from the "zur Kleinen Kanzel" inn to the hut in two hours. The route from Unterhöflein station is a little more challenging, as you have to climb at least the last part via the Springlessteig (difficulty A). Really exciting, but only for experienced climbers, is the ascent via the Gebirgsvereinssteig with an overhanging passage (difficulty D). As a general rule for via ferrata routes: you should always have sturdy shoes, a helmet and a via ferrata set with you.
