Our mission statement

The Hohe Wand Nature Park develops and preserves the cultural landscape with and for the people. We contribute to the preservation of regional biodiversity, take measures to increase biodiversity and are committed to the 4-pillar philosophy (protection, recreation, education and regional development) of nature parks in Austria.
Our activities are based on regional anchoring and close cooperation with municipalities and the province of Lower Austria. We see projects for the protection of endangered species, for the preservation of diversity and beauty through sustainable use of this special cultural landscape as core tasks of the nature conservation pillar.
We communicate to visitors a mindful approach to nature and sensitize them to our natural treasures. We would like to introduce our visitors to the Hohe Wand Nature Park as a place of well-being with an attractive, nature-oriented recreational offer.
The diverse infrastructure of the nature park offers rest and deceleration, but also excitement and action for both younger and older nature park visitors. Our educational offers are characterized by a passion for nature, they are innovative and oriented towards the respective target groups.
Well-trained nature educators enable unique nature experiences and revive identification with the nature park. They strengthen the bond and awareness for nature and the environment.
As an attractive partner in the Viennese Alps we set impulses for the region, force regional cooperations and thus contribute to the long-term increase of the quality of life and added value in this nature park region. We cooperate with the businesses to expand the offer in the region.
